Anushka Sharma Birthday Special

Seeing her versatility in her working, we see the different professions her characters portrayed on screen that we can take inspirations from. Be it a dancer in Dil Dhadakne Do or a wedding planner in Band Baaja Baaraat.

Check out these vocations that Anushka Sharma played on screen:

Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) – Wedding Planner

In this 2008 love story drama co-starring her then-boyfriend Ranveer Singh, Anushka played a wedding planner who with the help of her business partner (cum life partner later) rise up in their field and make a name for themselves.

PK (2014) – Reporter

Anushka played a TV reporter in this satirical science fiction film. She very essayed the part of a reporter trying to spread knowledge to not believe anyone blindly. She may have only been a reporter here, but we felt she was also a part counselor with the way she heard PK’s story and helped him.

Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) – Dancer

Anushka played Farah, a dancer atop the Mediterranean cruise which Kabir (Ranveer Singh) is on along with his family and friends. She essayed the part of a small-town girl following her dreams while battling all odds with perfection.

Sultan (2016) – Wrestler

In a country where girls/ladies are confined to the four walls of the house, Anushka played Aarfa Hussain – a state-level wrestler and the daughter of a local wrestling coach who aims of winning a gold at the Olympics for the country. Ever when she sacrificed her dream for her family, we still loved her dedication to the sport.

Phillauri (2017) – Poet

We know you will say Anushka was a ghost in this film, but hey, she had a life before she passed away. Well if you don’t remember, Anushka a.k.a. Shashi wrote poetry under the pseudonym of Phillauri. And this is justified as during the Independence struggle women were given very little to no rights to do what they wanted, especially if it was intellectual.
