Spread the love

Acclaimed DJ and refix artiste Tatva K teamed up with Tej Gill to bring you yet another hit. Rooh 2.0, also known as Rooh Reloaded is a fresh new track with heart pumping energy. We got in touch with Tatva K to get an insider on the track and much more. Check out what he has to say.

From DJing locally to radio shows and popular modern day refixes, what has your journey been like?
Well, the journey has been great, with us garnering a great dedicated fan following. Its very good to see people appreciate the hardwork that one puts in along with his team, into the whole brand and especially the music that I produce.

What goes through your mind when coming up with a track?
Ideas, ideas, ideas…what kind of muisc is going to work, what the drop should be like, how is it going to sound on the dancefloor.

The general public tends to view a remix or refix as an “easy fix” or “amped up copy” of a song. How much work goes into creating a remix?Does it easier or more difficult than an creating an original?
To be honest, it’s a really difficult task. its as tough as creating an original track since we only use the vocals of the track and no other music pieces. We would never want to spoil the original, so we always strive for the re-fix to sound very different and as long as the fans like it, all is well 😉

You’ve also DJ’ed at live events, as a DJ how different is that experience than producing a track?
It is very very different. Studio is a continous production process with a lot of back and forth and continous experimentation, whereas playing live is always about delivering a stellar performance and entertaining the fans.

Every elder generation has always found music of the next generation to be a ‘meaningless nuisance’. How supportive are your parents when it comes to your journey as a musician?
The answer to the question lies in the question itself. It has been a tough ride with lots of ups and downs. Phases of time when there was hardly any work and peanut money, but now they are happy and supportive.

How affective is social media when it comes to  bridging the gap between listeners and artists?
Social Media is the real deal now a days. I think in todays scene it is more than signing up with any major label.

You’ve just released a new track. Tell us a bit about that?
We have just released Rooh 2.0 and I loved making the music of this track which has the vocals of Tej Gill. Tej bro is a brilliant writer and for a long time I had wanted to do something with him. I hope the fans love this track and support our work!
