Papon aka Angarag Mahanta has created a buzz all over the internet with one viral video where he is seen kissing a contestant on the set of The Voice India Kids.
Papon who became famous with songs like Bulleya and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, is currently seen judging the singing reality show The Voice India Kids with Shaan, Himesh Reshamiya, and Palak Muchhal.
One video from the backstage went live on social media which featured Papon kissing one of the contestants, a minor, without her consent.
This has led to a complaint being lodged against the singer with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Lawyer Runa Bhayan who came across the video approached NCPR. Being a Supreme Court lawyer, she decided to file a complaint against the singer.
According to some reports, the lawyer expressed her concerns regarding the safety and security of minor girls in these reality shows in her complaint.
