Ekta Kapoor Announces Her Collaboration With Imtiaz Ali

Director Imtiaz Ali and producer Ekta Kapoor are all set to team up together for the evergreen romantic story of Laila Majnu.

Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor are coming up with a movie Laila Majnu where they are going to launch a set of newcomers with a contemporary version of the love story.

 

Laila Majnu will not be directed by Imtiaz but by his brother Sajid Ali.

This will be his debut movie as a director. Imtiaz himself has written the script for Laila Majnu.

 

When asked Ekta Kapoor about this collaboration she said:

“This story has given us a chance to launch new talent. We are wrapping up the shoot fast. I’m excited to retell this classic love story with a fresh spin.”

 

It will be great to see two amazing and talented people work on one project.
