Three days ago, Mumbai was scary because of the agitation and protests going on in the city. Our telly actors tell us how this has affected them and their daily lives.
Suhani Dhanki
I was shooting in Umargaon so I wasn’t directly affected by the riots in Mumbai but the safety of my loved ones did concern me. I condemn such vandalism and imposition.
Rohit Purohit
It’s absolutely sad what is happening around…though I was at home safe, but my cousin brother, who was coming to meet me, he got stuck in it. It was so disturbing to see his condition since he saw a police man getting beaten up by the public. This is not the way to protest, the government should take strong action against them…so that the protesters get to know the limits of protesting.

Since I shoot in Umbergaon, I have not been affected by this agitation, but my mother got stuck on WE highway while going to the airport. Luckily she caught her flight at the last moment. Destroying public property and putting people’s lives in danger is wrong.
Gurpreet Singh
Destroying public property will not give any solution. I really don’t understand casteism, everyone is human and a citizen of India and have equal rights.
Tinaa Dattaa
It is so sad that after so many years of independence also, we see this day. Agitations like these don’t solve anything, they only make matters worse.
Jasmin Bhasin
It is such a scary and unstable situation. I think people need to understand that only dialogue solves problems, not violence like this. I was at home only as I didn’t want to take a chance.
Ankush Bali
I was shooting in Naigaon and finished by 12 pm. My family, friends and even the production people advised me not to leave the set till things settle. I had to wait for 4 hrs at the set.
Dolly Sohi
I stayed at home once I got to know about the agitation. I didn’t go anywhere. I’m totally against destroying public property or harming people.
Samiksha Bhatnagar
I had to cancel all meetings as I saw complete chaos on Link road. Rasta Roko’ protest was being held in Andheri on the Western Express Highway.
Sneha Wagh
It’s a really shameful act. We have entered into this new era and internally, we are still getting affected by casteism. This shows the importance of education in our nation. I don’t support any kind of inequality. Fortunately, I wasn’t directly affected by the incident physically.
Sheeba
I was personally affected because they scared my staff. I have people who have to go back to their home and it’s not a nice feeling that my city is not safe. A peaceful ban to get any kind of point across is recommended and destruction of property and people’s life is unpardonable.
Sachin Parikh
It was a terrible day, to begin with because of the bandh. I somehow reached the set for the shoot but some co-actors were delayed because they were badly stuck because of the bandh. Some technical team members were also beaten up while they were coming on their bikes. The situation is quite tense and scary.
Gavie Chahal
I am affected by this and not just me, it’s everyone who is living in this part of the world. Such acts of vandalism show that we are divided by religion but unfortunately not united.
Sehban Azim
I had a shoot that got canceled, that’s ok, but I think somewhere everyone is affected by it and that includes the people associated with it too. At the end, it’s our own country and we should treat it as our own home.
Ssharad Malhotraa
All shoots were affected and we have been asked to stay at home so that no one is hurt.
Himmanshoo Malhotra
I wasn’t affected by what happened but I am completely not in favor of what is happening in Mumbai. I feel people coming on roads, agitating, creating havoc is absolutely not acceptable if there is an issue the authorities should go and talk to them. But creating a mob, breaking windows, throwing stones at people is not acceptable.
Vivian Dsena
There was a traffic jam at Ghodbunder road as I was on my way to Naigaon to my show set. The agitation or protest is not needed. Issues need to be sorted by talking. Disturbing public life is not right.
Hrishikesh Pandey
Yes, I definitely got affected. I was coming from Powai and was stuck in traffic. It’s a waste of time and money for everybody. Whoever does this, they should be behind the bars even if it’s some political party. At the end of the day, we are spoiling our property.
