4 years ago one of the verticals of Bohra Bros IFI aka www.indianfilminformation.com a portal dedicated to the Indian Film industry launched the Bollywood Calendar, it featured films from the early years of Indian cinema. 2nd year it was the women of Indian Cinema, last year it was the faces that made us laugh i.e. the comedians. Images used in the calendar come from Bohra Bros archive.
Post hectic brainstorming over numerous cups of coffee the theme for this year’s IFI calendar was finalized. First of Bollywood stars to cross over to Hollywood. The man who immortalized the line “Mere Paas Maa Hai”… no marks for guessing Shashi Kapoor.
The rare pictures used have been carefully selected for each of them marks a turning point in his career and also are important landmarks in the history of Hindi films. And when it comes to unveiling the calendar for the people at large, the choice was the man for all seasons none other than Bollywood aficionado Anurag Kashyap.
Anurag has launched all the editions and this is the fourth time that he will do the honors on 4 January 2018. Shaitan, Chittagong, Gangs of Wasseypur, Vakratund Mahakaya are the films when he collaborated with Bohra Bros apart from this.
The flutter created by the calendar in the industry is the reason that phones at IFI have been buzzing since Christmas everyone wants to ensure that they are not left without a copy.
Like last year this year too the calendar will be launched on the 4th working day of 2018 at a simple ceremony by the hands of Anurag Kashyap.
