The Indian Sports Honour Awards by Virat Kohli was a star studded event

The Indian Sports Honour Awards was announced in September by Virat Kohli and Sanjeev Goenka at an event in New Delhi to honour Indian sportspersons for their achievements.

Virat, Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav, Zaheer Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ashish Nehra, Kedar Jadhav, Pullela Gopichand, Saina Nehwal, Mahesh Bhupathi, PV Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi were the star attractions from the sporting world.

Aamir Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Riteish Deshmukh, Malaika Arora, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjay Kapoor represented Bollywood.

This is the first time the ‘power couple’ made an appearance in public. The couple stole the limelight – Kohli in a navy-blue tuxedo and Anushka Sharma in a red pantsuit.

Virat Kohli showered praise on his girlfriend in a two-part candid chat with Gaurav Kapoor. He was all praise for the actor and said that she had a huge role in Kohli‘s success over the past few seasons.

“Sir lady luck ka kamaal hai (I’ve got to thank the lady luck). You’ve (Gaurav) seen me, you know I had no brains before. Ever since the lady has come into my life, she’s taught me a lot of things.”

“I’ve learnt a lot, become more sensible in the last 4 years all because of her. She’s taught me how to be more patient and taught me how to utilise the position you are in to the fullest,”

Kohli said on Breakfast with Champions.
