Aren’t kids just adorable? Tusshar Kapoor, who became a single father to Lakkshya recently, mentioned some absolutely cute details about Lakkshya’s relation with ‘Golmaal Again’. Be ready for your hearts will flutter and you’re going to be saying ‘awwww’ after these details Tusshar reveals.
Here are some excerpts:
What brings you back to ‘Golmaal’?
I think it is what the audiences love. They’ve not only made it successful at the Box Office but also it has gone viral on satellite. That just shows that the newer generation also wants to see ‘Golmaal’. That is one of the main reasons that bring us back. Secondly, of course, there’s a homely feeling. It just feels like a paid vacation because you’re with your friends at exotic locations. ‘Golmaal’s recall is completely different. It is so much like a homecoming that after a few years, we might just say ‘Golmaal’ Karte Karte bade hue hai.
Is there lesser stress because it is Golmaal?
No, not at all. Films have flopped. Be it ‘Rock On 2’, ‘Kahaani 2’, ‘Tum Bin 2’, and others, so just the title gives a ready market, but the content needs to be appealing.
How was it balancing shoot and personal life with Lakkshya?
I thought I’ll spend 1-2 hours at home and then go to shoot or gym. But it worked out like me spending half an hour with him, then go to shooting, then have him come to the shoot after his second nap. Fortunately, the first schedule was in YRF so he could come there and be with me. In Hyderabad, I used to play with him for 1-2 hours. Then there was a 2-month gap when Rohit (Shetty) was shooting for ‘Fear Factor’, so I had continuous time with him. So when there’s a will, there are ways.
How did he react to seeing the other actors?
I didn’t bring him on the sets, because it was too hot in April, especially in Hyderabad. He used to meet them in the lift, lobby, hotel and he actually loved being around so many people, but being on my lap all the time. If he’s home and meeting everybody then it’s fine.

Yours is a very hands-on family…
Yes, it is. In fact, being a single father, you usually wonder if he misses his mother, but Laksshya is so pampered that I get scared he will become a spoilt brat.
Since you and Kareena (Kapoor Khan) are friends, what did you’ll discuss?
All the baby stuff, prams, baby food, traveling with babies. Then of course we spoke about ‘Golmaal’.
Has Laksshya started seeing ‘Golmaal’?
Not yet, but he saw me in the trailer on Pogo and copied how I’m talking in ‘Golmaal’.
What do you expect and take back from ‘Golmaal’?
I don’t like to keep expectations, but am hoping all will be good. Besides my paycheck, I take back new friends, a lot of learning from ‘Golmaal’. It’s been a learning experience – being a father and acting in the film. This is also his first film, so he’s a ‘Golmaal’ baby.
