At the just concluded press conference at Taj LandsEnd, Bandra, the entire cast and crew of Ittefaq were present. Producers Shah Rukh Khan (Red Chillies Entertainemnt), Karan Johar (Dharma Productions) and Renu Chopra (B. R. Studios) were there. Also present were the films lead cast Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Khanna. Director Abhay Chopra and writer Shreyas Jain also spoke at the event.
The film which is following a No-Promotion strategy organised a press conference a few days prior to its release. Karan also said that he feels a thriller loses its essence because of songs, hence there aren’t many such thriller film in Bollywood.

Talking about ‘Ittefaqs’
The cast shared some iitefaqs of their life on stage. Here are some of the co-incidences:
Sonakshi Sinha: She said that her father (Shatrughan Sinha) was offered Ittefaq, but he didn’t do it. She feels like a circle is complete now as she is doing the 2017 version of the film
Sidharth Malhotra: Sid revealed that when he was doing Ek Villian, Shreyas had offered him the film but due to circumstances it didn’t go on floors then. He feels it’s a coincidence that he yet did the film again.
Akshay Khanna: The actor said that his father (Vinod Khanna) did Ravi Chopra’s first film, and he is doing Abhay’s first.

Shah Rukh Khan spoke of his first meeting with KJo
SRK said that the first time he met Karan Johar was on the sets of Karan Arjun while shooting for Jaati Hu Mai. He revealed that KJo dissed him for his choice of shoes and clothes on sets. Karan also said that he had no interest in joining the film industry
The present cast hasn’t seen the original Ittefaq
While talking to the media present at the event when Sonskahi was asked how does she feel stepping into Nanda’s shoes, Sidharth made this revelation. The hot actor said that none of the present cast – Sonakshi, Akshay and himself – haven’t watched the original Rajesh Khanna movie.
Sonakshi Sinha admits why she was absolutely comfortable shooting the film
We all know that Nanda shoot for the 1969 thriller in just one saree. At the event, Sonakshi admitted that she was very comfortable shooting for the film as she wore a single nighty for the entire duration
Karan had a special request for Akshay Khanna
While thanking all at the closure of the event Karan had a very special and personal request for Akshay. The producer appreciating Akshay’s acting skills requested him to do more films.
