Birthday Special: 5 All Time Rakesh Roshan Favourites

Today, on Rakesh Roshan‘s birthday, we list our 5 all-time favourites that he directed. And we love his obsession with the letter ‘K’, after all, all his films start with this letter only. Read on to know the 5 we like.

Khoon Bhari Maang (1988)

This Rekha-Kabir Bedi starrer revenge was a breath of freshness when it was released. The transformation of Rekha from a housewife to a top model was beautifully captured by Rakesh on camera.

Karan Arjun (1995)

This film has already achieved a cult status for me. Based on the concept of reincarnation, this revenge drama spoke of the rebirth of Karan and Arjun to avenge the death of their father, grandfather and themselves (previous life). It featured Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Raakhee, Kajol, Amrish Puri amongst others.

Koyla (1997)

This action thriller film was written, produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan. It starred Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.

Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai (2000)

A beautiful love story is what this movie was. It garnered a lot of love and recognition at major film awards that year. Oh, and don’t forget in this movie daddy dearest introduced Hrithik Roshan to the lot of us.

Koi…Mil Gaya (2003)

A sweet story about the relationship between a special child born to a scientist (Rakesh Roshan) and an alien. A never-before-seen in Bollywood (and Hollywood too), this movie saw Hrithik Roshan take his acting capacities to an all new level.
