Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar & Farhan Akhtar Descend In London

The iconic BAFTA will play host to an exciting presentation by Baithak UK on Indian Cinema: Yesterday and Today on Thursday 13^th July in London.

With Mughal-E-Azam and Baahubali as inspirational, chronological markers, writer and director Sangeeta Datta will moderate a lively discussion with Bollywood film stars and creatives across generations, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar, followed by poetry recitals and music.

 

The event will be hosted by Haya Asif, granddaughter of K. Asif (legendary filmmaker that directed the timeless classic, Mughal-E-Azam), and will feature Farhan Akhtar reciting poetry from his film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara; as well as performing a couple of songs written by his father, live at the event.

 

Also in attendance will be international actor, Irrfan Khan.
