After the super success of ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’, ‘Rustom’ and now ‘Jolly LLB 2’, Akshay Kumar has just wrapped up the shoot of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’. The Producer of Rustom, KriArj Entertainment has joined hands with Viacom 18 as the proud presenters of this film and is keeping up their consistent track record of making films based on meaningful content and at the same time providing entertainment for one and all.
This film has a unique love story and also embodies a social satire which deals with tackling the menace of open defecation and the changing mindsets of Indians as a whole.
The film went on floors in Banaras near Mathura in November ‘16. The shooting venues along with Banaras and Nandgaon in Uttar Pradesh were also Bhopal for the final schedule. The authenticity of real locations of rural India and the hinterland provides the scene to the story which borrows its soul from the villages of India. With the shoot now wrapped up, the cast and crew are having serious withdrawal symptoms.
Produced by Aruna Bhatia and Plan C Studios in association with Abuntuntia, ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, a unique love story, will see renowned editor Shree Narayan Singh making his directorial debut. The film releases worldwide on 2nd June, 2017.
