Rahulram Manchanda, who was last seen in ‘Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein‘ will be seen playing a prominent role in Essel Vision’s upcoming show ‘Vani Rani‘ on &TV. To get into the skin of the character, Rahulram took inspiration from Amol Palekar‘s character from ‘Chhoti Si Baat‘.
Although Rahulram and Amol’s role are poles apart, when quizzed what made him to draw the inspiration from the film? Rahulram said,
“When I got the brief of my character, the first image that came in my mind Arun (Amol Palekar’s character) from ‘Chhoti Si Baat‘. A timid guy, who faced lots of trouble because of his nature, gradually gains confidence and surprised everyone with his newly discovered self-esteem.”
Rahulram has seen ‘Chhoti Si Baat‘ more than a dozen times, but only till the interwal. What asked why he has not watched the second of the film, the actor said,
“After the interwal Amol sir’s character started moulding into a mature and confident guy. As the transition in my character will take place after a couple of weeks later, that’s why as of now I have watched only the first half.”
