The Cast shares some memories of Republic Day!

Tarun Khanna (Mahadev) – The best thing about this day was the Republic Day parade on TV. I used to be glued to the TV. Once I represented my school in the parade. I felt very proud. The favorite song on this occasion has to be Mere desh ki dharti and Maa tujhe salaam by A.R.Rahman.

Gufi Paintal (Vishwakarma) – I remember my childhood in Delhi when my parents used to take us kids to India Gate for Republic day Parade on 26th of January every year. The love and respect for the country and the martyrs used to be very strong. The Parade of different forces used to be the main attraction. Oh those cold weather days and munching of peanuts with jaggery and the warmth of winter Sun .. for us it used to be ultimate. My favorite patriotic songs are Aye mere watan ke logo from Shaheed, Kar chale hum Fida jaano tan saathiyo from Haqeeqat and Mere Desh ki Dharti from Upkaar.

Kunal Bakshi (Indra) – Best childhood memory of republic day is attached to my dad who was an air force officer. He used to sit with us to watch the republic day parade on TV and used to tell us about the importance of every small thing featuring in the republic day parade. My favorite patriotic song is Maa Tujhe Salaam by Mr. A.R.Rahman.

Salil Ankola (Suryadev) – My father was a police officer and we use to go to the police parades every 26th January and it was super fun. The spirit of patriotism was always prevalent in my family. I love the song VANDE MAATARAM by LATA MANGESHKAR as my mom and dad were big fans of her and every word of this song glorifies our country and its sung so beautifully. As it happens 26th is forever special as it’s my son KARAN s birthday that day.

Kartikey Malviya (Shani) – We celebrate 26th January in our school, and I really miss those days. When I was 8 years I had performed the most memorable act of Bhagat Singh when he was arrested for bomb blast in Chori chaura on the occasion of Republic Day. My favorite patriotic song is Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo By Lata Tai because I always recollect that incident of Chachaji crying when she sung it and also because my sister Nupur used to sing this song every year on Republic Day in ordinance factory area.
