The very beautiful Nupur Joshi is back again but this time in a different avatar. The Do Hanson Ka Joda girl is all set to wow the audience with her motherly instinct as part of Rajan Shahi’s longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. We caught up with the actress to know more about her role, here is what she had to say:
What show were you a part of prior to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai?
Do Hanson Ka Joda by Rajshri Productions.
Can you tell us a bit about your character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
I play the role of Karthik’s dead mother Soumya. Soumya died when Karthik was only four years old so majority of my scenes will be shown as flashbacks which in turn explain Karthik’s character development.
How much do you relate to the character?
I can relate to the fact that she is a sweet and simple human being. Her humility is her charm.
Have you watched the show before?
Yes, who hasn’t! Of course! It has been running since like forever!
How is it working with producer Rajan Shahi?
I have a very friendly relation with Director’s Kut. When I was approached to essay the role for the first time it was more of a welcome to the family rather than a work contract. I am very pleased to be a part of the show.
How is it working with Sachin Tyagi and Parul Chauhan?
I have not shot much with them, but it is really nice working with them. They are good and professional people.
How would you react to the popularity of the show.
Well, it is indeed very popular. It has been running successfully since ages while retaining its freshness and that alone proves everything, so me commenting on that would not make any difference.
Anything else you want to share about yourself or the show?
I have been acting for a long time but this is the first time I am working with friends so I feel very lucky to be given this opportunity.
