Popular actor Jay Soni will be shooting for his debut Gujarati film next month. Recently we saw Jay in a very loving role called Dr.Ritwik in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi on television. Throwing more light on his Gujarati film he says,
“I was getting a lot of offers for Gujarati movies. In fact, I had many meetings with the producers but I couldn’t take it up due to date clashes for some other professional commitments. I took my own good time to zero down on this movie, it is an intense drama and a contemporary movie script. I didn’t want to do any urban-comedy movie because many are being made on those lines.”
Jay also adds,
“I have not seen any recent Gujarati films but I was always interested in doing some project in Gujarati. The shooting starts next month in Ahmedabad but I can’t speak more about the project and storyline as of now.”
So will we see you again on television?
“I am going to wait till a good daily soap comes my way. In my career I have always associated myself with good stories and production house and will continue to do the same.”
Jay who is also known for his good and witty anchoring style looking forward to a good opportunity where he can explore his anchoring skills. We have last seen Jay as an anchor in Comedy Superstars which had judges like Sushmita Sen and Shekhar Suman. Jay adds,
“I have started loving anchoring as it gives me a free hand. I get to do gigs spontaneously and I was very happy with the compliments I got from Sushmita Sen and Shekhar Suman during Comedy Superstars. I look forward to do more anchoring projects.”
