The runway presented a walk down memory lane as Amit Aggarwal showcased the i Cloud by AM. IT collection at Amazon India Fashion Week SS’17 tonight! Some sequins, tiny pompoms in candy colors, coarse glitter and doll eyes captured in the sheer layers of the garments induced sweet nostalgia from the 80s. The walk, in tempo with the drum beats and vintage R&B mix, put some fun in the feet and set the show in motion.
The embroidery and design elements on the garments were not only interactive but also evoked curiosity through the play of material. Minimal lighting and décor purposefully kept the focus on the garments. The entire space transformed into a runway, allowing an up-close look and feel of the collection.
Whites with bright accents, muted with translucent layers making them pastel candy pink, light blue, lemon and salmon. Ivory and accents of black and white accentuate the lightness of the palette.
Vintage vibes echoed with the exaggerated platforms on pasty white sandals, big sleeves, dropped shoulders and cinched waists make a reappearance through this collection.
Retro-styled hair, gelled clean and pulled back in ponytails with two partings and dry crimped strands from the locks. Single playful earrings added whim to the flyaway strands. The makeup maintained flesh tones, bringing out the freshness of a summer cheek. Aptly titled, the i Cloud collection left the audience floating in the haze of memorabilia making a comeback from the wonder years!
