Atif Aslam who is known for his versatile singing capability and a heart hitting voice is back this year with a sad song. Atif recorded the song for an upcoming Bollywood film ‘Sweetie Desai weds NRI’ which stars Himansh Kohli and Zoya Afroz in a lead role. Atif Aslam has last crooned for ‘Jeena Jeena’ from ‘Badlapur’.
It’s a sad romantic track and the makers were very keen on only Atif to sing this song. Finally they had it happening when Atif confirmed that he would be recording the song from Karachi.
He recorded the song in Karachi and is composed by the young music sensation Palash Muchhal
Sweetie Desai Weds NRI’ is a Rom-Com produced by Grand Motion Pictures and Asmiya Production, Mahesh Bhatt protégé Hasnain Hyderabadwala who has earlier directed Emran Hashmi twice in films like The Train and The Killer has directed this romantic comedy. The film is set in locales of Gujarat. Zoya plays a chirpy, quintessential and gutsy girl in the film. Himansh plays a guy-next-door who is hopelessly in love but is struggling to find some stability in his mundane life. The NRI factor adds the fun element in the story.
