What difference between working in films and television?
Camera is the same be it film or television. There’s no difference film you take in one shot while television the shot is taken from 3 different angles which requires a lot of work.

Tell us a bit about your character.
I play the character of mama who looks after Zeenat (Urvashi Sharma) since childhood and he stays with his wife. He is a kind of greedy, selfish and bad, he wants to wrest Zeenat’s house when her husband leaves her. Mama wants to wrest all the property. There’s no name the character is called Mama.

What prompted you to do this show?
I have not taken on a show for 4 – 5 years and I wanted to do something different. When they approached me and when I heard about the character I jumped on to it saying I’d love to do the character. I played Kanhaiya Lal’s character in Sanjog Se Bani Sangini on Zee TV, Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat and then Lakhan Mishra Chacha in Bhagonwali and they had this feeling that I would fit this character.

Did you do any research for the role?
I don’t think any research was needed for my character. I understood the character graph and requirements and did what was needed.

How is it working with the cast of ‘Ek Maa Jo Lakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma’?
Working with the cast is superb experience, so lovable people, Urvashi Sharma is so nice, Aman Verma and Nasirr Khan are so good and respecting.

How is it working with Farhn P Zamma?
Farhn P Zamma is God’s good man. He is very sweet. The production house folks make you feel at home I would love to work with Farhn in future too.

Who do you bond more with on the sets?
I share good bond with everyone. I was the only person who mixes in with everyone. I have been working since 45 years and I shared my experiences and jokes and the director is so good he never forced me to do something. I really loved such company.
