So inspired was he by the performance and the show, that he decided he wanted to be an actor.

His career started with his first TV show for DoordarshanWoh Hue Na Hamare – in 2004. He simultaneously took up both theatre as well he as TV. He acted in Baghdad Wedding, Spunk which directed by Shehenshah of Azimo (an adaptation of The Wizard of Oz) with his wife Shivani and Anand Tiwari. By then, he had became a known face on the small screen. He now wanted to take up the challenge and do something big. That’s when he was offered a role in the movie English Vinglish in 2011.

The following year, he then went on to act in Aurangzeb with Rishi Kapoor. After two big films, he then started doing short films with his friend Anand Tiwari wherein he acted in Neighbours 1 and 2 , Oye Teri, Haircut. He then gave writing a shot and wrote a short film.
