Ashish Chowdhry took off on a holiday after four years, a holiday sans work agenda. And he’s never likely to forget it ever in his lifetime. He’s still to live down his holiday in Maldives.
“I was surfing the net for potential holiday spots, when I picked out one nice picture and tweeted about it. That particular hotel in Maldives retweeted, saying we are waiting to welcome you here. And when I took them on the offer, I didn’t know I would be in for VVIP treatment. When I reached Maldives, a sea plane was arranged to pick us up. I had booked a villa for four nights and five days, but they gave me the sunset water suite instead; it is a premium room in the hotel,”
he recalls.
The actor had earlier been to Maldives, but on a film assignment to shoot Fight Club with Dino Morea, Sohail Khan and other boys. But the second trip turned out to be a memorable one.
“The hotel welcomed with a lot of warmth. The chef made every kind of food possible, including Japanese and Thai. The chef made me hand-made chocolates and sea food. They also got me to try out every possible sport,”
says Ashish for whom the trip came an answer considering his hectic schedule, coupled with an injury and shifting new house.
“I always wanted to go to places like London, but Maldives turned out to be heaven on earth. Sometimes you feel the need to party or just go and roam around, but to find peace you have to go at a place like Maldives,”
he gushes .
