There is no doubt that Shahid Kapoor is a phenomenal actor. He has proven himself as being more than just a chocolate boy with his varied roles. After all, he pulled off complex characters in movies like Haider and Kaminey with the same ease he pulled off quieter roles like that in Jab We Met and Vivah. Now, to add to his list will be the role of a Rockstar in the upcoming film Udta Punjab. The film features him in a full on grunge rockstar look as one can see in the song “Chitta Ve” that released earlier today. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. With such a star cast, Udta Punjab is sure to fly high! Moreover, this film sees the reunion of one of our favorite on-screen jodis – that of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. The track “Chitta Ve” is composed by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics by Shellee, and is sung by Babu Haabi, Shahid Mallya and Bhanu Pratap. Udta Punjab is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Production. The film is set to release on June 17, 2016!
