Saurabh Pandey shares his sky diving experience!

Saurabh Pandey is quite the daredevil. On his recent trip to Fubai, the actor did the unthinkable when he decided to venture into adventure sports. First on his list was sky diving. We got in touch with the actor ro ask about his experience. Here’s what he had to say:

For how many days did you go to Dubai?
This trip was for a first for our family as we were celebrating Mom and Dad’s anniversary outside India. We were in Dubai for four days, and it was beautiful.

Is it true that you tried your hand skydiving there?
Yes I tried to skydive for the first time. I’ve always wanted to attempt skydiving from the age of 10. I saw people in Australia skydiving, but my dad didn’t let me do it then. And I finally got an opportunity to do it after a long wait of 17 years. it’s a thrilling experience and one should have at least tried it once in one’s lifetime.

Were you not scared of it?
At first you really don’t think of any fears. But at a height of 14000 ft up in air, just after the door of the airplane has opened and that thin cold air hits you, you realise that ‘OMG, I am really going to jump of the plane now’. So I said ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ and went for the jump (laughing).

Can you describe what it felt like when you took the jump and floating in air?
It’s not possible to put the skydive experience in words as one really needs to experience it for themselves. After jumping off the plane from 14000 ft, the first thing you notice is the air running through your ears and entering your mouth. Air hits you at the speed of 240 kms/hour. What surprised me is the sound of air – it’s like two jet engines are near your ears and another in front of your mouth. All I could think of is to dance in the air, so I did bhangra with my diver Nicholas Scalabrino. This unique thrilling experience will always remain close to my heart. I did my skydive at SkyDive Dubai. The best place to do it. Another guy, who jumped with me, had 1 Gopro and DSLR camera on his helmet. He was recording and clicking my pictures. These pictures are one of the most awesome pictures of my life. Another thing is when you jump, you get to see the magnificent view of Dubai. – aerial view of all those skyscrapers, Palm Jumeirah and the entire Dubai.
