Money laundering is an art. Yes, a bad one, but art nevertheless. In layman terms, money laundering is the conversion of ‘dirty’ money into – seemingly – ‘clean’ money. One might think that the world of money laundering and work of making movies in Hollywood might seem worlds apart. However, when it comes to movies, the two seem to fit perfectly together. 1. Wolf of Wall Street – 2013
Set in the period from the mid-eighties, Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street is a shocking reflection on Wall Street. Leonardo Di Caprio portrays the character of Jordan Belfort and chronicling his rise and fall on Wall Street.

This Jodie Foster directed film brings together the magic of Julia Roberts and George Clooney together after a long time. With such star power both in front and behind the camera, we are certain this film will have all the elements of a gripping film. Set on Wall Street, the film is tale of a common man who takes a newsroom hostage to take revenge of his loss of money because of a misleading advice given to him.
3. Lethal Weapon 2 – 1989
Richard Donner’s Lethal Weapon 2 is a sequel with most of the same qualities as the original. While violent elements may get quite bizarre, Leo Getz’s half-billion-dollar money laundering ring isn’t. Ben Younger’s Boiler Room is an outstanding movie and it doesn’t matter even if you know very little about stocks and bonds, insider trading, and what-not. This movie will definitely keep you intrigued no matter how much familiarity you have with the above. Starring Vin Diesel, Ben Affleck and other brilliant actors, this movie is gripping and will you keep you on the edge of your seat right till the very end.
5. The Big Short – 2015
The film offers a convincing look American financial collapse of 2008 and, although you might occasionally find yourself lost in the details, McKay’s comedic background and outstanding cast are there to balance it out.
6. Margin Call – 2011
One of Kevin Spacey’s finest work till date, Margin Cell digs into the how and why of the market crash, and not just the mere economics of it. Instead, it focuses more so on the culture of Wall Street and the excuse that individuals tell themselves.
