Actor Saurabh Pandey is portraying the character of Krishna in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Suryaputra Karn. He is immensely grateful to his friend Shubha Vilas Das, a baishnav who preaches Bhagwad Gita around the world, for helping him develop a better lifestyle and improving his performance in playing Krishna, understanding Bhagwad Gita and various Sanskrit shlokas.
Putting the spotlight on his friend, Saurabh says,
“I met Shubha eight years back and we connected through Krishna. He is very qualified and a motivational speaker and travels around the world for his work and also wrote four books. Playing Krishna on camera is one of my biggest challenge and my friend’s support means a lot. I always believed that I am just a normal human being and Lord himself is the doer forcing me to do this. So when I approached my friend Shubha and asked for some guidance for the character he helped me immediately.”
Since Shubha is extremely busy with his own work, Saurabh used to chat with him on what’s app and get to know his perspectives. Saurabh adds,
“Currently we are shooting for the Bhagawad Gita episode and my understanding slokas work as a very handy tool for me. Because when I know what I am speaking in front of the camera that becomes very transparent.
“So what does your friend say about your performance?
“He told me Krishna has caught you. What better praise I can expect from a person who himself devoted his life to Krishna.”
