He has been able to win hearts of many and now he has won the nations heart! There’s no denying that Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee is a powerhouse of talent. He may not be your typical masala film hero, but his performance in films like Shool, Satya, Pinjar, Aks, Zubeidaa and Tevar and very recent Aligarh, linger in the public memory. The two times national award winner who will next be seen in a biopic titled ‘Duronto’, has already received a national award this year in the Best Children’s Film category! Now this category tops all! Childrens Film Category – how much more great can it get?
The film is a true story of the little slum boy Biranchi Das, from Bhubaneswar who had virtually taken the entire nation by storm with his achievements as a marathon runner. The fine actor Manoj Bajpayee will be portraying Budhia’s mentor and Coach of Biranchi Das. Directed by Soumendra Padhi and produced by Code Red FIlms, Duronto has touched hearts of many and will be screened at various film festivals around the world.
Talking about the national award win, the talented actor Manoj Bajpayee says,
“I am completely honored to be a part of such an amazing film. It feels good that Duronto has received such a great acknowledgment and it is soon going to travel all the prominent world film festivals. I can’t speak much about my role in the film as it’s too early.”
Duronto is expected to hit the big screen this year in the month of August/September.
