Nivedita Basu’s Kolkata Baabu Moshayes are one cheery bunch. It’s no surprise the team decided to spread the same kind of cheer on Valentine’s Day. In light of the love filled holiday, the team held a celebration at the cricket ground in Malad on Friday night.
A heart shaped chocolate cake was cut which was followed by cricket practice for the upcoming BCL tournament. Commenting on the tournament Nivedita Basu says,
“Our team is charged up for the BCL season 2. We believe in unity is strength and that is why we celebrated Valentine’s Day today. These days, everyone in our team is in love with cricket and that is what we’re celebrating today.”
Ssharad Malhotraa the captain of the team adds,
“Practice makes the man perfect and team spirit is important. Initiative to practice makes all the difference”.
Everyone present was enthusiastic and all played with a sporting spirit after Valentine’s celebrations.
