Eminent producer Sudhir Sharma’s passion for photography is well known to all recently the young producer held an exhibition of his photographs. So how did you decide to come up with an exhibition?
“Actually I didn’t. It was my mentor Himanshu’s idea. In the last 5-6 years I have travelled a lot and captured many characters, stories and moments. It is an extension of me as a director. An exhibition gives you an instant feedback from the viewers. It is nice to be able to observe someone looking at your photograph and It means a lot when your work has made a connection.”
This is Sudhir’s first photography exhibition and he is planning for a solo exhibition soon. Interestingly veteran actress of yesteryear’s Waheeda Rehman is also an enthusiast when it comes to photography and Sudhir actually travelled with her for photography. Talking about her a beaming Sudhir says,
” I have travelled with Waheedaji a couple of times for photo safaries. Waheedaji’s enthusiasm and zest is infectious and truly inspirational. She’s the first one to be ready at 5 am with her camera and cap during our safaris. It is amazing that she continues to be a ‘student of life’!”
What does she say about your work?
“She loved my Chor Bazaar series and made me promise that I will take her along with me to that place.”
And she jokingly added
“But in disguise Please!”She was extremely happy with the set of work that we presented and told us that this is the best Guru Dakshina for our mentor.”
A multi faceted man, one must say.
