More than 400 students from the greater Los Angeles area — including 350 from the L.A. Unified School District joined in this special celebration. Prior to the concert, the students participated in the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY Career Day program at their school with the support of Los Angeles Unified School District’s Beyond The Bell Branch. GRAMMY Career Day is a one-day event that brings music industry professionals together with high school students to make them aware of careers that are available in music and present a behind-the-scenes look into the industry. These students are given a careers-in-music lesson taught by their music teachers and developed by the USC Thornton School of Music.

In attendance at the live concert were Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy® and the GRAMMY Foundation® and Pamela Alexander, director, community development, Ford Motor Company Fund.
