Actor Mahesh Pandey who is co-producer along with Deepak Kumar and Vikas Seth under Trishulla Production of popular show Yeh Vaada Raha on Zee TV opens up about life and career!
What are the landmarks of your career?
I worked withBalaji Telefilmsas a write and wrote shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kasauti Zindagi Ki. I started my own production house and producedBhojpurifilm along with Balaji.Then I produced a show Anamika with Vikas Seth and I left writing. Then after so many years I am writing for Sasural Simar Ka, Swargini and Piya Rangrezz. Yeh Vaada Rahais a turning point for me because I am doing both the things writing and producing.
What are the prominent shows you have written?
Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Kutumb, Karam Apna Apna, Kavyanjali, Kahani Humare Mahabharat Ki, Sasural Simar Ka, Piya Rangrezz, Swaragini and Yeh Vaada Raha.
What are the essentials of becoming a good writer?
We should write a story in such a way that people should understand and get connected with it.The story should be interesting enough to make people enjoy it and feel totally entertained. The characters of a shows are hit and people know them so characters must emotionally engage the audience.
How easy or difficult it was to get a first break as a writer?
In today’s time it is not difficult to get a break because there are many mediums.But during my days it was difficult to get a first break.Today’s time it is very easy to approach producers and channel because they are looking for fresh talent. Now everyone gets a chance to show their talent.
What is so special about Yeh Vaada Raha according to you?
It is a very interesting story.The story is all about nine years a girl and 14 years boy and everyone liked the story.The character Tai the vamp of the show is very different from the other shows.In other shows villan are not justified but in this show Tai justifies herself every moment when she does something against the lead Survi and audience love to see the drama of Tai.
Why did you choose a particular background of the story?
The concept is ofVivek Bahland he wanted that it should be a Maharastrian family story.So it is all about Maharashtrian family.If we see there are no story on Maharashtrian family.After Pavitra Rishta there were no show that are based on Marathi family so we decided to do the shows on this background.
What should audiences expect from Yeh Vaada Raha in coming weeks?
Lots of drama,excitement,twist and turns.
What changes had happen in the industry over the years?
There are lot of change in story and content.People love to see drama.Earlier we used to see family based shows but from past two years the everything has changed.Now we are getting to see story of Naagin,Daayans and people are loving to watch this story.So ever year we get to see a change story wise and content wise.
What new trends you think will emerge in 2016?
I can’t predict but I think people will get to see Daayans and Naagins based show in 2016.

Producing.
Who are your favorite actor in Yeh Vaada Raha?
Rinku Karmarkar and Ankush Arora.
Where do you see your self five years from now?
Retired and very happy.I want to work a lot,earn money and get retired.
