Da-bang concert organizer clarifies the Gutthi and Dadi controversy!

There’s never a dull day when it comes to controversies in the world of media.  In the world of Indian television, one of the biggest has been with regards to Comedy Nights with Kapil.  It is no secret that Kapil Sharma is no longer doing the Comedy Nights series on Colors TV.  Rumors swirled that the host and channel had a fall out.  Now, several reports have been claiming that Colors TV channel have sent a legal notice to Comedy Nights with Kapil actors Sunil Grover aka Gutthi and Ali Asgar aka Dadi barring them from performing in Salman’s Da-bang concert in Surat!  However, we can safely say there will be no issue in the stage show.

In light of this recent controversy, the organizers of the concert, Entex Global have issued a statement clearing their stance on this issue. Amit Purohit, CEO, Entex Global said,

“Considering the notice issued by colors to Sunil, Ali and my company – Entex global, we have learnt from Ali and Sunil that they are not going to use any IP related to Colors or any other channel.  The show has them in Gujarati female avatars and the names are different.  Hence, no resemblance of character or infringement of IPR. We look forward to host a great show and entertain thousands of fans.”

Da Bang Live concert will be held on 19th February, 2016 at DRB Sports Complex, Surat and hosts star-studded performances from Chitrangada Singh, Elli Avram and Lauren Gottlieb, singers Neha Kakkar and Nakash Aziz.
