Bollywood Funk NYC gives you Cold Play and Beyonce’s “Hymn for the Weekend”

A few days ago the Superbowl was aired on National TV and during the Halftime Show millions across the globe watched the performance by Cold Play and Beyonce along side with Bruno Mars. It was quite an amazing Half Time Show as it showed many elements of India. Although before the Superbowl aired Cold Play and Beyoncé teamed up to shoot a video which created much stir across the globe and also upset many people. Everyone does have an opinion and everyone should be able to speak freely about this topic which has created a viral sensation over the net.

Yet one group in NYC decided to cover the song by adding some dancing elements to the song and it didn’t stop them because they enjoyed the video and thought the elements to the video were great. Some might think differently because it offended many.  Ayesha Khanna who created a lovely interpretation of the song added elements of Kathak to the choreography with her dancers. Check out this lovely kathak classical video of ‘Hymn For the Weekend’ by Bollywood Funk NYC!

Bollywood Funk NYC Dance School and Company was built on the creative vision of Ayesha Khanna. Her journey as a dancer began at the ripe of four.
