The trailer for Eros Now’s upcoming film Ki and Ka has been unveiled! After classy films like Cheeni Kum and Paa, R Balki is back with a quirky romantic tale. Ki and Ka is set to release in theaters on April 1, 2016. Check out the top 5 things we love about Ki and Ka so far!
1. It challenges gender roles in every way possible.
From the get-go, R Balki consistently challenges traditional gender roles for men and women. Arjun Kapoor plays Kabir, a heterosexual man who desires to be a house husband, while Kareena Kapoor as Kia is an ambitious career woman striving to climb to the top of the corporate ladder.
2. Arjun Kapoor cooking!
Who doesn’t love a man that can cook! In light of the fact that Arjun Kapoor plays a house husband, the trailer shows Kabir cooking, managing the kitchen, and making breakfast for Kia!
3. Kareena-Arjun chemistry
Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor is an interesting pairing but needless to say their jodi looks absolutely rocking in the trailer! We look forward to seeing more of them and Ki and Ka’s relationship when the film releases!
4. Hilarious dialogues
Since this movie questions gender roles on every level, there are some power-packed, hilarious dialogues in this trailer. Seems like this film will be a laugh riot!
5. Catchy music
What is a Bollywood film without music and dance! The plot of Ki and Ka may stray away from a traditional Indian romantic love story in many ways, but it definitely still has the ingredients of an entertaining Bollywood flick, with a twist!
