Pooja Batra returns as Kalpana Chawla in a Hollywood flick!

Pooja Batra is known for her contributions to films such as Virasaat, Bhai, and Haseena Maan Jaayegi – Will soon be making her comeback in the film industry. This time the actress has gone to Hollywood.

Actress-entrepreneur Pooja Batra, who shifted base to Los Angeles. Will be seen playing an astronaut in a Hollywood movie titled “One Under The Sun”.

The bold and beautiful actress will soon be seen paying tribute to Indo-American astronaut Kalpana Chawla in the upcoming film One Under The Sun. Which is directed by Kathryn Voss.

Her character is based on India’s first woman in space, Kalpana Chawla. In order to prepare for the role, she has been watching a lot of documentaries. She has even changed her hairstyle to look like an astronaut.

Pooja Batra was quoted as saying,’ It is a very proud moment for me to play a lead in my first Hollywood film. The role was originally written for an African-American actress. But when the makers saw my audition, they changed the script and took me on board’.

Chawla was among the astronauts who lost their lives in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster back in 2003.

Tomorrow (February 1st) marks the 13th death anniversary of those aboard Space Shuttle Columbia.

She was last seen in a Bollywood movie “ABCD2” starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in a cameo role. We wish her all the best!
