Chauranga keeps it all real!

Filmmakers Onir and Sanjay Suri have revealed that their upcoming film Chauranga has been completely shot on real locations. Confirming it, director of the highly-acclaimed film, Bikas Ranjan Mishra says,

“Yes, we have not used a single set in the film. Right from the village headman’s dated bungalow to the temple to the cow shed, everything is real.”

In fact, shooting at the real temple posed to be quite a challenge for the cast and crew.

“The pandit taking care of the temple was very old, and we were shooting there in extreme cold. But the panditji would come and stand to watch over us all through the day and we felt bad for him since he was very frail. But he refused to budge as long as we were in the temple premise. So that in a way was an incentive for us to finish the shoot quickly,” shares Bikas.

Now that’s a great pandit right here!
