Television’s hottie, Parth Samthaan and producer Vikas Gupta were good friends at one point, but all that seems to have been a thing of the past. The two are now at loggerheads with Parth accusing Vikas of molesting him, non-payment of dues for working on Vikas’ show and constant threats of ruining his career. Parth has allegedly lodged a complaint at Versova police station.
According to TOI, a source close to Vikas has revealed,
“Parth accused Vikas of touching him inappropriately on December 7, 2013 and the duo hasn’t been friends since then. But soon after this, they were apparently holidaying together in Thailand. Parth has also featured in five shows produced by Vikas, so the non-payment of dues allegation doesn’t hold true.”
Parth also spoke to TOI where he said,
“Vikas hasn’t cleared my dues of `5,50,000 for ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya‘, a show that I did with him. In fact, he has been asking me to cough up a ransom of 50,00,000. He has also threatened to ruin my career. I have also informed the cops about the same. I have nothing against him except for the fact that he hasn’t cleared my dues. We were good friends. He has also helped me in my career and I will be always thankful to him. But my hard work can’t be discounted.”
Vikas’ lawyer, Yadunath Bhargawan released a statement,
“Vikas has gone through a difficult time because of the nature of allegations that speak of his professional incompetence and casts aspersions on his character. Alleging a producer of attempting to molest and extort money from an actor is bizarre. Vikas will be taking legal action soon. A defamation case is being filed against the Bollywood aspirant.”
According to TOI who contacted the Versova police station, files have been charged by both parties, however, they denied that Parth had filed molestation charges. The charges were more on the professional ground. What are your thoughts on this?
