#12DaysOfChristmas Day 1 – The family photo!

Compared to other festivities, Christmas is comparatively consider to be a small festival and secluded festival in India. However, when you consider India’s booming population of 1.2 billion, the country houses over 25 million Christians! That’s more than the entire population of Romania. Having said that, Indians Christians are known for incorporating the best of the Indian culture with Christian traditions. The following series is a an effort to bring you closer to the twelve days and twelve ways we Indians Christians celebrate Christmas!

If you thought it was tough selecting your favorite selfie for a Facebook post or the perfect filter on Instagram, try getting your family to agree on a Christmas photo for the annual Christmas card.

Come November, families scramble through their yearly photo albums (now flash drives and memory cards) to find a perfect picture everyone can agree on. If all else fails, parents and grandparents force children to dress their best (most conservative) and head to the photo studio for the annual Christmas card photograph.

And when that’s done, you get to hand write all 150 of them, considering that is how many close relatives you have!
