Varun Dhawan talks about films that changed his life at MAMI

The Mumbai Academy of Moving Images Film Festival was a blast this week with hot stars holding hilarious panels. Varun Dhawan was on the scene to speak at a panel about his acting journey and the films he’s done so far!

The handsome actor met with tons of fans, spoke about his journey and love of movies. He spoke about how much he’s learned from Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Dilwale. He said they’re trying to bring an Andaaz Apna Apna vibe to the film, he even confessed to joking around with his teachers as a kid Andaaz Apna Apna style!

Varun Dhawan was then joined by Badlapur director Sriram Raghavan. They spoke about the powerful film and Varun also spoke about some anecdotes from the film shooting. Varun spoke about why he loved Dev Anand’s Guide. He even confessed that he learned his Hindi from Amitabh Bachchan on KBC!

 

 

Fans got to know Varun a bit better as he spoke more about his personal life and preferences. He mentioned how much he and his brother loved the animated film, The Lion King! Varun claimed that he was such a big Jim Morrison fan in college he even grew his hair like Jim’s! Varun was also a bit Swat Cats and Johnny Bravo fan as a kid. Varun even had a special message from his mentor, Karan Johar!
