Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has always managed to grab the limelight when it comes to national issues. With shows such as Satyamev Jayate and movies like Rang De Basanti and Mangal Pandey to his credit, the actor has always been applauded for his contribution to society. However, a recent statement made by the actor has not gone down well with citizens of India.
While attending an event in New Delhi, Aamir Khan told an audience that his wife, Kiran Rao, had suggested moving out of India.
“That’s a disastrous and very big statement for Kiran to make to me,”
Mr. Khan said.
“She fears for her child, she fears what this atmosphere around us will be, she feels scared to open the newspapers everyday.”
The actor is now being criticized for making what is considered to be an anti-national statement.
