Over the years the movie industry has made such films that just directly connect with you emotionally and touch your heart. Well Director Bikas Ranjan Mishra has maybe just done that with his film “Chauranga”.
The jist of the movie is about a 14 year old boy named Santu played by Soham Maitra who has this desire to attend school in the town just like his elder brother played by Riddhi Sen , but I guess his destiny was written just a little different. So when his elder brother comes to visit and see’s how the situation is he teaches his brother to express with love and Santu learns how to love letter. I won’t give too much away but this looks like excellent film to watch and see the life Santu lives and see if he dream really does comeout true.
Bikas states,
“Chauranga was prompted by a news story. The film is my understanding of the village life where a gruesome act of killing is possible in the name of preserving the sanctity of caste system. It’s a fictional re-telling of the actual incident set in a real village where I grew up and which I was very much a part of”
Chauranga is produced Sanjay Suri, Onir and Mohan T Mulani , and Directed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra. This is movie you won’t want to miss at any cost it will be releasing January 8th 2016! A film to start of a brand new year. What do you think?
