After creating magic with the first two installments in the Gangs of Wasseypur series, famed director Anurag Kashyap is teaming up once more with Zeishan Quadri for Gangs of Wasseypur 3!
As a screenwriter, producer, and actor, Zeishan has proven himself a triple threat and is being flooded with accolades from every corner of the film industry for his upcoming directorial venture, Meeruthiya Gangsters. But the most impactful compliment, says Zeishan, came from his Gangs of Wasseypur director Anurag Kashyap. In a recent interview with the media, Kashyap stated,
“I saw a reflection of myself in Zeishan, the zeal and the passion I had in my early days is now what I see in him. When you make any movie, you don’t cross the imaginary line till you don’t know that it exists. I have noticed that Zeishan is someone who likes to learn while making any film; he keeps reinventing and discovering it. In spite of not having any cinematic education, Zeishan comes with lots of courage in him; he has this incredible drive in him, which is actually four times more than me, that makes him an extremely talented filmmaker.”
Reacting to these comments from his mentor, Zeishan expressed his happiness by stating,
“I am completely overwhelmed, it feels great when your mentor appreciates your work and chooses to become the presenter of your directorial debut film. What I am today is part of Anurag Sir’s remarkable guidance and encouragement.”
With such an incredible show of support from an immensely talented director like Anurag Kashyap, we are certain that Zeishan Quadri’s Meeruthiya Gangsters will be something to watch out for!
