Manjhi started breaking the mountain in 1960, all alone, without any help, seeking nothing in return. He completed carving out a path through the mountain in 1982. Dashrath Manjhi died in 2007, but his ‘Never Say Die’ attitude continues to live on.
He was the man who single-handedly dug across a mountain for twenty-two years with only a hammer and chisel, near Gaya in Bihar to create a road!
