Robert Downey Jr., famously known as our favourite superhero Iron Man, made his debut in Hollywood at the age of 5 in the film Pound in 1970. For three consecutive years from 2012 to 2015, Downey topped the Forbes list of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors. He made an estimated $80 million in earnings between June 2014 and June 2015.

Sherlock Holmes is a character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock is a detective who solves different cases. But Robert Downey as Holmes is a nice twist given to the character which is quirky and smart and funny in his own kind.
- Hank Palmer in The Judge:
Downey plays the role of Hank Palmer who is an attorney in Chicago. This was a serious character with lots of emotions portrayed by Downey. Though the movie received rave reviews, Robert Downey’s character was appreciated by all.
- Peter Highman in Due Date:
Peter Highman is a successful architect who wants to fly home from Atlanta to Los Angeles to be with his wife Sarah who is about to give birth and what happens next is unexpected and really hilarious. Robert Downey has very well portrayed the role of Peter, a role he had never done before and we all loved him for that.
- Steve Lopez in The Soloist:
Steve Lopez is a columnist in Los Angeles Times. The story revolves around how he discovers Ayers and writes about him in the newspaper. Downey in the role of a journalist was simply cheery on the cake.
