Muzaffar Ali’s Jaanisaar to release on 7th August!

‘Jaanisaar’ which was earlier scheduled to release on 21^st August has been pre-poned by two weeks and will now release on 7^thAugust.

‘Jaanisaar’ which comes from the maker of Umrao Jaan, Muzaffar Ali, is a film which launches Pernia Qureshi and top lines Imran Abbas, the Pakistani heartthrob. ‘Jaanisaar’ is a musical love story merged with the theme of ‘fight for independence’ during the post 1857 India.

Muzaffar Ali stated ,

“Hum to fakeer log hain, jo apne funn (art) pe jaan lagate hain, I didn’t know it’s so difficult for independent cinema to survive in this country. Nobody supports independent cinema, so I am releasing my film on my own without any studio support – after a lot of deliberations we have now chosen 7^th August and hopefully the trade / multiplexes and single screen cinemas will give my audience a chance to see this film with their support.”

 

Due to the relevance of the Indian Independence story, the makers always wanted to release the film during the 15th August week, however, due to Dharma Productions’ Brothers taking away almost all the single screen cinemas and a large chunk of shows in multiplexes, the makers have now decided to release the film one week before Independence Day, on 7th August.
