Bollywood Events What's Happenin'

Mr. India making Indians proud at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne!

Anil Kapoor has been a role lately – bagging events left and right along with films and even Hollywood roles and with his latest voice-over with Family Guy which we are all excited to watch! For the 4th consecutive year, The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne that celebrates Indian cinema internationally is all set to start in Melbourne this August. Yet again, the lovely Vidya Balan will be the face of the festival which is themed around Equality. While Bollywood never fails to entertain us, this time it has taken the high road and gone beyond the entertainment space. What stands out this time is that our very own Mr. India will hoist the Indian flag in foreign land, making India proud overseas.

At the iconic Federation Square of Melbourne, Indian superstar Anil Kapoor will be raising the Indian flag at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on the 15th of August. The event will be attended by key heads of state in addition to the members from the media and diaspora. In the Master Stroke section at the event, Anil Kapoor will present his latest film Dil Dhadakne Do and the classic Mr. India. The Master Stroke section is a celebration of cinema and film-making from three of the most different voices in the Indian and Australian circuits. Along with Anil Kapoor, widely appreciated documentaries on India by Australian legend Paul Cox and the newly restored classics of Satyajit Ray- Charulata and Nayak will also be featured in the section.
