Disney Pixar's Inside Out pays tribute to the Oscar nominated UP, Cars and Toy Story!

After the success of Cinderella, Avengers Age Of Ultron and critically acclaimed Tomorrowland, Disney;s next is the much awaited animation venture Inside Out, releasing on 26th June in India! From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc,” “Up”) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In Disney Pixar’s original movie Inside Out, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all—inside the mind. The film recently had a Cannes premiere that left all those present teary eyed and choked up, calling the film one of the best that has been showcased in Cannes this year!

Inside Out (2014) takes us to the most extraordinary location yet - inside the mind of Riley. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Anger (voiced by Lewis Black), Disgust (voiced by Mindy Kaling), Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Fear (voiced by Bill Hader) and Sadness (voiced by Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. Directed by Pete Docter and produced by Jonas Rivera, "Inside Out" is in theaters June 19, 2015.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).

“The Emotions are kind of like the voices in our heads,” says director Pete Docter. “When we were just getting started on this film, we looked around—at our kids, friends, co-workers—and we realized that everybody has a default temperament. We all go through periods of being happy or sad, but certain people are just happy or angry or what have you. Riley is one of those happy kids. So Joy had to be the first Emotion to show up, and she has a very special bond with Riley.”

In a special treat for fans, the movie pays tribute to all the famous award winning Pixar movies released in the past! In one scene, the background memories on shelves inside or outside of Headquarters are shots from the “Married Life” scene in Oscar nominated Up. One of the globe in the Riley’s classroom has been used in all the Toy Story films and One of Riley’s classmates is wearing a camo pattern made up of Toy Story characters! The background city cars of San Francisco all have bumper stickers from Cars!
