Asad ul Haq’s film wrapped up in given time: 45 days!!

One of Pakistan’s best admen, Asad ul Haq, who has now donned the esteemed hat of a filmmaker, has achieved in the big bad world of movies what nobody could, yet, that too with his very first film Dekh Magar Pyar Se.

The super efficient director, Asad, had announced when he started his film that he will complete it in 45 days. And, well, he has achieved a feat that so far had not been achieved, and completed his film in the timeframe he announced.

Yes, Asad’s directorial debut was shot in merely 45 days and is now complete and all set for release. The film will see the light of the day on Aug 14. With the film already edited, its first teaser trailer will be launched on July 2.

The Pakistani film industry has started taking baby steps towards being established. And in an industry that lacks trained film professionals, resources and where film directors have delayed release of their films for two to three years due to lack of one thing or the other, Asad has lived up to his words.

A man of his words, Asad did not extend the shoot for even a single day and wrapped it up in the time that he had claimed he would.

A romantic-comedy, Dekh Magar Pyar Se stars debutante Sikandar Rizvi, who is a grandson of the legendary Madam Noor Jehan, and Pakistan’s powerhouse of talent Humaima Malick in leading roles.

Asad ul Haq started out making TV commercials back in 1993 and has not looked back since then. He is the man behind some of Pakistan’s most remembered and popular commercials. Asad has more than 500 ads to his credit, ranging from cigarettes to telecom to cola. Asad collaborated with Mobilink for their re-launch campaigns twice, did HBL’s ad with the country’s indigenous dancers in all the corners, Telenor’s black and white campaign when it first came out eight years ago with blue petals, Morven Gold Rhythm of Unity in 1993, Ufone’s prepaid campaign and Don Carlos’s iconic black and white commercial in the 90s to name a few.
