Legal action against Abhijeet for harsh tweet?

Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been under the spotlight since he posted a negative comment with regards to Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case on the microblogging site, Twitter.

Earlier today, a written complaint was filed against the singer by city based activist Suraj Soni at the Jhotwara police station seeking FIR against the singer for his comments. The police however, have not registered the FIR.

The complainant stated that the singer has hurt sentiments of the people with his comments and legal action against him was necessary.

The singer has since then apologized for the tweet.
