Irrfan Khan spent time with the children answering their questions and he even taught a short acting lesson as well! The talented actor noticed the great confidence in the children and he said that soon he’s positive an actor bigger than him will emerge from that very classroom! Speaking about the cause and the event, Khan said,

“I’m extremely thrilled to be present at the P&G Shiksha school to witness the difference that this cause has made to the lives of all these lovely children… Education is the cause I deeply care about and when I was growing up, education enabled me to follow my dreams and aspirations. All the success that I have achieved in my career, I owe it to my education. I feel that education plays a very important role in molding a child’s future and is imperative in order to secure the future of the country.”

P&G Shiksha has built and supported more than 330 schools across India and has made a difference to the lives of 50,500 underprivileged children in north India by building and supporting 13 schools. The P&G Shiksha school here was built in 2003 and in 2010, the number of students was increased from 100 to 300. Launched in 2004, P&G India’s flagship CSR programme P&G Shiksha has grown immensely with the help of strong support from Bollywood fraternity including Rani Mukerji, John Abraham, Sushmita Sen, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan.
