Arya Babbar who was travelling to Jaipur for the launch of his book, was not able to attend the mahurat of his upcoming film, Chalk n Duster. The young actor has actually received quite a lot of praise for his book and has been busy with his book promotions. According to the sources, Arya was in Kota for the launch of his book ‘My Fiancee, Me & #IFu**edUp’. Being swarmed by a number of fans for his autographs and pictures, the tour was a success!
After Kota he had to leave for Jaipur right away so he couldn’t attend the mahurat and though he was upset about that he is excited about the film kicking off. He has a pivotal role in the movie and will return for the shoot in a couple of days. Present at the film’s event were Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta, Samir Soni, Ritu Shivpuri, Upasna Singh and Gavie Chahal. Also present at the occasion were directors Rajkumar Santoshi, Prakash Jha, Punjabi actor Gavie Chahal and beauty pageant winner Navneet Kaur Dhillon.
Chalk n Duster is a coming of age movie that deals with the life of teachers. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Arya Babbar and Saheeba Khurana. Chalk n Duster is written by Ranjeev Varma and directed by Jayant Gilatar. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, while the lyrics for the film are penned by seasoned writer Javed Akhtar. Produced by Subhash Singh along with his sister Sonali Singh under the banner 3S Creations. Chalk n Duster is set to release on Teacher’s Day.
